| Fusion (strand by strand) extensions are a simple way to achieve natural looking long hair on any hair type that last three to five months. Your hair is sectioned into pieces and the extension is applied to the root of the hair shaft with low heat and a keratinized protein bond. This is done with a fusion wand that heats and melts the glue upon contact. This allows the extension to blend seamlessly with your natural hair. Fusion extensions when installed correctly should almost never damage your hair; but it's still good to know your hair well enough to make a decision that's best for you. If your hair has been damaged by heat or products, a fusion method might be less than beneficial. Do not wash your hair for 48 hours after the extensions have been installed. Dry brush the hair completely with an extension brush before entering the shower and before bedtime as it prevents extension matting and tangling and spreads nourishing oil throughout the extensions. Before bed, you should be putting your hair up. You can put your hair in pigtails or a high ponytail. This is the best way to go to sleep with extensions without causing matting and it's actually the most comfortable way to sleep with fusion hair extensions. | |

| Tape in extensions are the most popular hair extension trend on the market. Tape in hair extensions are thin tape wefts, 1 inch wide pre-taped hair wefts, that get “taped-in” in between your own hair in “sandwich” like bonds. It is the most requested hair extension method in salons worldwide. Despite tape-ins being secure for everyday wear, they are still the least permanent of the extension options. Expect six to eight weeks of great results before removal or adjustment and reinstallation is needed. For anyone with thick curly/wavy hair, you can get away with washing your hair once a week. If you feel that your scalp is getting oily, use a dry shampoo to absorb any excess oil your scalp may have.
